Items taken at M.e.t. DepotsAluminum cans -- You can recycle all aluminum beverage cans. Rinse and flatten. Plastic bottles -- You can recycle plastic bottles that have a neck and the number 1 or 2 in the triangle on the bottom. Remove caps and lids, rinse and flatten. Glass bottles -- You can recycle clear, green and brown glass jars and bottles. Remove lids, rinse, and separate by color, when possible. Newspaper -- You can recycle the entire newspaper, including glossy ads. Leave loose and unbundled and keep clean and dry. Magazines-- Includes small, staple-bound catalogs, but not thick catalogs and phone books. Phone books are accepted at Central Tulsa location, 3495 S. Sheridan. Office paper -- Recycle white and colored file folders, copy paper, computer paper and envelopes. Staples or paper clips are acceptable. NOT acceptable are slick paper, such as ads, and paper contaminated with paint, oil or food waste. Household and auto batteries Motor oil & Antifreeze -- Keep separate; up to 5 gallons each per visit. No commercial vendors please! Steel cans -- The M.e.t. sites that accept steel cans are Broken Arrow, Sand Springs, Bixby, Glenpool and Jenks. Corrugated Cardboard -- The M.e.t. locations in Broken Arrow and Sand Springs accept flattened corrugated cardboard. Paper board is not accepted. |
